Welcome to COG Print E-mail

Covenant of Grace welcomes you to our internet address. We invite you to make yourself at home and investigate our website. Then join us sometime at one of our worship services.

Background

Covenant of Grace is a congregation of many different backgrounds who have found unity in Jesus Christ. Our church is made up of people just like you, who are seeking to know God, worship him and serve him in today’s fast paced world.

We know that we are not the church for everyone, but we are striving to be the kind of church where anyone can find a place to call home and a place to serve.

We also know that we are not a perfect church, but we serve a God who is, and who gives grace to flawed people like us. We recognize that we are still learning.

At Covenant of Grace we realize that each person in our midst is seeking answers to life’s questions. We are all on a journey. We are all at different points along the pathway of life. Here at Covenant we find the answers to life’s questions in the richness of God’s truth as recorded in the Bible. Everyday, God is willing to meet us right where we are. As Jesus said concerning the corrupt tax officials and the town prostitutes, “I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. For it is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick” (Matthew 9:11-13). Jesus is the answer. Jesus says, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls” (Matthew 11:28-29).

Covenant of Grace is a place for…

  • all who are weary and seek rest
  • all who mourn and long for comfort
  • all who struggle and desire victory
  • all who sin and need a Savior
  • all who are strangers and desire fellowship
  • all who hunger and thirst for righteousness
  • and to whoever will come

If you do not have a church home and would like to follow the Jesus Christ of the Bible with others of like faith, then join us for a worship service. You can find out more about us by clicking the “about us” button on the menu bar and the other buttons on the left

We hope you will join us for a service on Sunday and see for yourself what we are all about. Occasionally we have new people attend Covenant that have never visited or attended any church before. If you fall into this category we hope that you will feel free to ask those around you any questions that may be helpful. We do not expect you to know what is going on… just explain that you are new and ask for help.

FOR YOUR FIRST VISIT:

  1. Click on the “About Us” button on this website's menu bar in order to discover where we are located and what time our Sunday services begin. If you have any questions you can call the church office.

  2. We recommend that you arrive a little early in order to allow time for parking and seating. There are visitor's parking spaces right in front of the building or just find a spot in the lot.

  3. Please note that our building is wheel chair accessible.

  4. As you enter into the front doors you will probably be greeted by greeters or ushers. They are there to assist you so feel free to introduce yourself and ask questions. Ushers also hand out church bulletins, which inform attendees about our church and any upcoming announcements. They also include the order of worship for the early blended service.

  5. If you have children age 0 – 3 years old you will probably want to drop them off to be cared for in the nursery. Children that are 4 years old through 3rd grade usually stay with their parents until they are invited/dismissed to attend kids worship during the main service. Children 4th grade and up stay with their parents throughout the service.

  6. Enter the sanctuary directly across from the entry doors. Go ahead and seat yourself. Ushers are available to help you find a seat if you need them. Now, just sit back and enjoy a time of worship with us.

  7. After the service:

    • Pick up a visitor's “Welcome Pack” in the foyer if you have not already been given one.
    • Grab a cup of coffee or tea in the foyer and enjoy meeting new people.
    • Browse the information tables in the foyer.
  8. Next choose a Sunday School class. Adults have a choice of several interesting Sunday School classes that cover a range of different topics. Most of the adult classes are located in the Adult Education Annex. Children 0 – 3 years old can stay in the nursery. Sunday School classes for children 4 years through 5th grade are mostly located in the main building near the sanctuary. Middle School and High School aged children can attend classes in the Youth Annex located next to the Adult Annex. Oh, and of course, dont forget to pick up your children after Sunday School.

  9. Come back and visit again!
