Welcome to Covenant of Grace Women In the Church We have many different strengths and backgrounds. We come from different generations. We are employees, employers, mothers, grandmothers, sisters, wives, daughters, friends, ministry leaders, and mentors. Yet within all this diversity, we have a commonality… we are women. And even more importantly we are women who have a common bond in Christ. And it is upon this common bond that Covenant of Grace endeavors to build it’s women’s ministry program, Women In the Church or WIC for short. We recognize that even in a world of to do lists, emails, cell phones, drive-thru’s, and microwaves we still find little time to connect with one another and to those things that are most important to us. Covenant of Grace’s WIC ministry seeks to provide a place where all women can come together and connect in a way that inspires each of us to love God with our whole heart, mind, body and soul. It is a place where every woman can come to “…know Christ personally and be committed to extending His kingdom in her life, home, church, community, and throughout the world.” In our Women In the Church ministry many women join together in a common effort bringing to bear their different gifts and energies towards the common goal of serving one another in the name of Christ. It’s about women serving women. Covenant's WIC ministry offers many different events and opportunities for women to come together and support one another and to contribute to the ministry of Covenant of Grace. Fellowship opportunities are provided through events such as ladies teas, breakfasts and luncheons. Opportunities for growth are availiable through Bible Studies, ladies Sunday School classes, and retreats. WIC supports our overall church ministry through organizing receptions, baby showers, and greeter ministries. As part of the national Presbyterian Church in America WIC also has regular opportunities to get together with other regional PCA churches for events such as our annual “Lamplight”. All women and teen girls who are members of Covenant, invited guests, or attending or visiting our church are invited to participate in WIC activities.
